Dr Jekyll was a scientist who developed a serum, which brought out the evil inside of him to surface!. The whole book is about the investigation of the brutal murders that Mr!. Hyde committed!. The book is basically a book of duality!. Stevenson is trying to portray that while Jekyll may have been a mild mannered man, he had inner demons that were awakened, which turned him into a monster!. It's an excellent read!. I would recommend it!.
