Question: Deathnote!? Why did Light do this!?
Why did Light kill agent Rayne's wife!? I know she was going to tell L that her husband came into contact with Kira on the bus, and that kira can control the way his victims die!. But how was that going to get L to know that Light is Kira!?

That part made me sad!. But it was a sign that introducing a character and making you feel for them doesn't mean they're safe in the slightest!.
I think Light saw an opportunity to stop (or at least delay) a lead for the police so he took it!. You're right that L ends up coming to the same conclusions without her help but it took a little longer!. Maybe Light wanted time to think about his next move!. Or maybe he just wanted the joy of telling her who he was when she couldn't do a thing about it - he loves winning!. It was a pretty bold thing for him to do, tell her right out!. Light does get overconfident sometimes (I'll stop here in case you haven't seen the whole series!.!.!. Foreshadow! Foreshadow! :) )!. Great series!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
