When did it become okay to say "βitch" on TV?!
Question: When did it become okay to say "βitch" on TV!?
Answers:
Depends on the context!. In the early 80s some shows (M*A*S*H and Cagney and Lacey) use the term "son-of-a-*****"!. But that was network television in the 9 or 10 o'clock hour!. Since cable became more prevalent, standards have become more lax and will continue to do so, because cable isn't regulated as broadcast networks are, and society is generally more lax about language!. One of the major first uses was on the 1980's show Dynasty!.
Some shows did try to get away by saying Son of a ***** in the 1970's!. But actually calling someone a ***** was done on Dynasty!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i think shows on local channels are more flexible while shows on cable are not because they are on strict control!. I may be wrong but i heard this a long time ago from someone else because i had the same question!.

I was shocked the first time I heard it said on a soap opera!. But then again way back when, they couldn't even say the word "toilet" on TV!.
