i just figured that out cuz like with lockes dad being that one guy on the island and he looks exactly like he looked then and with the guy locke met you kept chopping the tree down! he had been dead for 12 yrs and i doubt he looks diff!.!

That is not Locke's father!. also, people can age because Aaron has aged alittle!. Richard was also around on the Island when Ben was a child!.

Locke's dad is not Richard Alpert, the guy on the island!. He was just at the hospital!.!.!. why!.!.!.i'm not too sure!. Anthony Cooper (who also uses alias) is Locke's father!.
And I think you can age on the island, since Aaron, Claire's son, doesn't exactly look like a tiny newborn anymore!. He's definitely looks more like a 3 month old, since thats about the age he is now!.
Plus, Ben has aged while living on the island!. He moved onto the Island with his dad!. Thanks johncondo47 forgot about that one!. =) also, Ben's dad was offered a position to work for the Dharma Initiative by Horrace!.
Aging on the island is definitely an issue!. Remember how Locke saw Walt in "Thru the Looking Glass"!. Walt looked older and "taller", as Locke said in "Confirmed Dead"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That guy wasn't Locke's father!. I think that he knew about John, and that he was special (or maybe he was destined to end up on the island)!.

I think Richard looked the same cause he's time traveling!. He was wearing modern day clothes every time they showed him!. He was coming from present time, and visiting Locke at various points in life!.
