Carrie Underwood has the highest selling debut album of any American Idol winner. Some Hearts have sold 6.36 million copies in the United States so far. Some Hearts have been certified 7 x platinum by the RIAA. Carries second album Carnival Ride have sold 1.99 million copies in the US so far.Next week will put her sales at 2 million copies. It is already double platinum.
Chris Daughtry has sold 3.92 miliion copies of his album Daughtry so far.
Kelly Clarkson overall is the highest selling Idol. So far she has sold over 18 million copies worldwide with her 3 albums combined. Thankful sold 2.7 million copies in the US. Breakaway sold 5.96 million copies in the US. My December has sold 760,300 copies in the US so far since its release last year in April. Most people considers it a flop compared to the worldwide massive sales of Breakway which sold 11 million copies worldwide.
