his name is Victor Adam, he wants to go to Adam, and hes also not using Newman, hes using Hopes madien name, because he doesn't want people to think he was handed the job, he wants people to know he works for what he gets.
Victor always referred to his son as Victor Jr. but jr. didn't know Victor Sr. was his dad and he chose to go by Adam.
Adam didn't want anyone to know that he was victor SR. son when he started working at Newman enter-prizes. He wanted to be accepted on his own merits and not what the Newman name can bring him. But - i think that is beginning to change now. Plus - Adam - full name is Victor Adam Wilson. Victor still want Adam to take his rightful name of Newman but Adam still doesn't want to do that either.
Since arrriving in GC, it was always been ADAM.
Vic said he wanted to go by his middle name Adam. And his last name Wilson.
He didn't want people thinking he got the job because he was Victor's son.

Every since Victor Jr. came to GC they have been calling him Adam. Adam is his middle name. He didn't want everyone to know that he was Victor Jr. when he first started working for Newman so he told Victor that he wanted to be called Adam. Plus that way it isn't so confusing. Victor wants Adam to take his last name though .... I am not sure if Adam is going to do that or not though.
Add this, It will not be 2 long tha Adam decide to take his father name tho.
