Why would a woman go on a show like Rock of Love?!
Question: I know this question has been asked before but I'm asking it again because I'm curious about something. Granted, some of the women who appear on the show are opportunists. But some of them seem to have genuine feelings for the man in question. These women have to know going into it that they stand a fair chance of getting sent home. Why would a person agree to participate in the first place, knowing they have a fair shot of having their hearts broken, and on television to boot?
Also, do you think he's really looking for a mate, or is he doing the show for the exposure? Thanks.

I think women go on to get with a famous dude who has money. They have no idea if they actually like him or not, and if they did go on the show for love, they must have lost hope.
And no I dont think he's really looking for a mate, because shows like this usually end up having multiple seasons because the relationship didnt work out.
Maybe they just want TV time.

brett just does the show for exposure, heather was really in to him the last season and he didnt want a serious relationship, thats why he picked jess instead.
Well, we all know Tila Tequila just did her show for the attention, so it's pretty likely that it's all just an act on this show too, and others like it.
They want a chance to get noticed or get wealth.
i believe there are just there to enjoy themselves and have sex or just make out with somebody. be exposed. be famous. meet new friendfs. there arent there for bret, just for fame. after the show is over, do u see what they become into? they become celebrities. i am telling u, it's all FOR EXPOSURE!
They probably think that they are worthy of being "discovered"

I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't want my private life broadcast, I think the whole thing is silly.
these woman can't possibly be that stupid to think he really is looking for love...just like flavor of love..and shot of love...these ppl just go on here bcuz they use it as a stepping stone they mostly end up naked on magazines after these shows are over

well i think there are many differnt types of girls that go on there. first off the ones who want attention and fame by making fools of themselves. then theres the naive ones who actually think there soul mate is going to be this big rockstar guy whos getting paid a pretty penny just to act like hes interested. then theres the ones who are just kinda like whoa i cant belive i actully made it on this god forsaken show.
its all in the name of making cash and getting famous.

i think hes really looking for someone, but hes a really picky guy, he should of went with heather from seasons one, but she was too much of a partier, doesnt he want that? he wants a girl that can party but whos like a good girl at the same time, hes never going to get anyone at this rate. as for the girls who go on, honestly the ones with genuine feelings have to have guts to do that show, so im guessing 95% of them just want exsposure.

I don't think he's actually looking for a mate. He's looking for a paycheck and that's sad. If he really wanted love he could walk into any establishment in this country and find a girl, ask her out, go on dates, and actually find love. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to find love. The guy is attractive, has money (atleast way more than I do. I don't doubt that he has a few comma's in his bank account), and has a better chance than I do when it comes to finding love (I'm overweight and not the hottest) and he's going to mess around and act like he can't find love for real? Please! Spare me! He's a rockstar and he's used to having different women in his bed every night. The difference is, the band broke up and he's too lazy to find them, he figures since his music won't bring the sluts to him (like they used to when he was on tour) VH1 and a crappy reality tv show will!

It's like you said; to get their 15 minutes of fame. To use the "show" as a stepping stone to get notoriety. But, there are the few women out there who do seem to express genuine feelings for the man in question. Well first of all, its a chance to make out with Bret Michaels!!! Ok, sometimes I find him hot but being 25 and him 40 something the thought of making out with him seems kinda disgusting considering where his lips have been...eww.
Second of all, they have said it some girls are there for the "right" reasons and the "wrong" reasons....I personally think thats bull and that Bret may be there for the wrong reason...sure he wants to find love, but in the midst of it all, he's making out with all these beautiful women and getting his kicks and then the poor girl goes home empty handed...I'm sure those girls are better than that...especially Ambre...I think she's going to get hurt and he needs somebody like her..
