Question a/b friday's 20/20?!

Question: did anyone see diane sawyer's show a/b prostitution? if so what did you think of it.

i thought it was interesting and sad. i don't judge people b/c you don't really no why they choose to degrade themself in this matter. i think it's mostly b/c their on drugs, but they had some women on there who just chose to do this. one even said how is it different than women who marry for money. what do you think. i've always said the difference btwn a prostitute and a married woman is a marriage license and it's legal.

I saw it. Thought it was pretty sad. I did however like the point they made that a lot of girls have been led to believe there is a chance they will end up like Julia Roberts from "Pretty Woman". Makes you realize how one silly little movie can destroy lives.
Saddest part of the whole show was the woman who went to the school of the arts, being able to sing opera, having so much talent , but only being able to turn to one thing to support her habit.

I didn't see it but I can't imagine having to live that way. It is very sad for me to think about. I guess it is kinda the same as marrying for money except that they are having several partners.

It's very sad.

Prostitution, as a way to pay for your school, is shocking. Your neighbor, my neighbor -- why?

Well, I think these girls do not understand what they are sacrificing, or they were abused as children. OR, they were found running away from home, and set up -- depending on the quality and the brains and beauty, they fit into niches.

Do you realize that girls are stolen and shipped off and sold as sex slaves today? It's not just girls, it's boys, and children -- it is a sign of a very evil and sick world, IMO.
