DWTS Kristi - unfair advantage?!

I love Kristi as a figure skater, but I have to say that I do think she has an advantage over the other competitors who have no dancing background. The judges said they were amazed at her timing and precision, but in figure skating... timing and precision are everything - it's something she knows well. If you've ever watched Kristi skate, you would see how she knows how to hold her arms, hold her posture, be graceful, show expression, do twirls and turns without losing balance and dance on ice. She is also used to being coached and to train long hrs - she's very disciplined and focused. Another advantage is that Kristi started out in pairs skating and has been paired up in shows with other skaters over the years. She knows how to be in sync with a partner and it really showed. The only thing I can think of that would be new to her would be the footwork, but once she has that down... she'll be tough to beat in my opinion.

I don't think that it does because skating and dancing are nothing alike... it really is hard to dance and skating is much easier to do! I think that because she is an athlete she will have a better advantage but not because she is a skater.
i dont think she has a lot of advantage b/c figure skating is a different art then dancing for sure. shes athelte/artist but shes not a dancer.
I don't think so, as Kristi said herself skating is done on a flat foot because of the blades. She will be a better competitor because of skating...look how well Apollo did? I think the pro paired with the celebrity has a lot to do with it as well, I mean come on, would Emmit Smith really have won without Cheryl Burke?
