The 1st season was the best. I highly recommend watching it. There's only 10 eps, so it's a nice 5 hour Weeds marathon.
You would be lost on some things, but could probably catch up within a couple of episodes. The show is more about the characters than the plot and the characters were built up in the first season. You sort of need to know who hates who and who is friends with who to get what's going on.
Probably there are some things that happened in season one that tie into season two that you might not get if you don't see if first.
