On Reality TV, ever see anyone READING...???!
Question: Is there an affect & something to this... What 'reality' is it, and what are we saying for America's teenie audiences.. when girls get tattoos, pine for guys attention & girls (Flavor of Love, Tila Tequila) and fall over themselves from some no-prospect midget (That's Amore)... they're watching behavior... then, there's "Orange County housewives" and "NY Housewives" and "The Apprentice" etc. where you NEVER see even (presumably) successful people, never seem to actually be "spotted" with an open book... why not?

Actually on Flavor of Love Season 2, two of the girls were reading a book on affermations.
On America's Next Top Model cycle 4, Tocarra was often seen laying in bed reading while the other girls roam the house taking nude photos of each other and playing in each other's food. On the same cycle, Yaya was often shown reading poetry.
On Cycle 1 Robin and I can't remember who the other one was were often having Bible study
Run's House the family is often shown not only reading novels and magazines but also the Bible
So I guess it all depends on what shows you watch and what you are really looking for because there are some who do read.
Because reality tv is really make believe.
Because it wouldn't be exciting to watch someone reading a book. There is no action or interaction when someone is reading a book. That is why you don't see it.
I have seen some people who were interrupted while reading. I have seen the wife reading a book on "Run's House". Sorry I don't know her name as I don't watch the show regularly.
Even though it is reality tv no is going to read a book so viewers can watch them reading. That would be so boring. They will do exciting or stupid stuff to entertain viewers i certainly don't want to watch people reding books on tv!
Usually on Beauty and the Geek it would show the teams studying for the elimination round by review the study guides.

Run's House! They are always reading something. The girls read magazines & Run & Justine are always reading in bed. Also they read the Bible.
Most reality shows don't let them have books.
Survivor & Big Brother only allow the Bible or other religious reading.
the Amazing racers are always reading! lol! maps, direction & clues!
There was an episode of ''The Bad Girls Club'' when they show Cordelia reading briefly. But would you watch a show if all they showed was someone reading? I mean really you forget the weeks of stuff that don't make it onto the show because they're not dramatic enough.
