they canceled it but then it was picked up again.
We've heard rumors that there will be a LAST season, but there again they're rumors only, all the good shows are getting cancel and honestly i'm so tired of that, Nip/Tuck season finale was horrible if they bring the show back it will be its last season, Jericho which just started a few weeks ago is also ending and probably not doing a 3rd season (after all the nuts the viewers sent to abc) also heard from a friend that Friday Night lights wont renew a contract for a new season, as for Las Vegas, i think this was its best season ever, bringing Tom Selleck to the show was brilliant and Piper brought something different to the show not to mention how good she was on The Nine another show she was and it got cancelled as well on the very first episode, just like DRIVER and some other shows, i think writers are struggling with good stories or simply ratings are going down everywhere. My husband is in the Computer Animation business and a couple of his friends worked on the animated scenes of Las Vegas hotel so thats where he is getting his info from, I really Hope they don't cancel the show, so far is the only good different show out right now, if they cancel it its gonna be upsetting but oh well, you might as well get prepared, nothing lasts forever and like i said before they're cancelling everything. so.
IT IS CANCELLED. There are no current plans for another network to pick it up. (I think that person is thinking of Scrubs, which might get picked up by ABC.)

Insiders say NBC head honcho Ben Silverman was underwhelmed by Vegas' average of 7 million viewers a week and decided to cut ties with the series in order to make way for Peacock-net newcomers in the coming year.

Also, there's alot more you can do to help, like sending baby booties to NBC like the Jericho fans did to CBS! (They sent nuts.)
I'm really mad. If they're bent on cancelling the show and there is REALLY NOTHING we can do to stop them, they should at least have given us a proper ending instead of that HUGE cliffhanger and a "To be continued..." What does that show about NBC!
