Can't remember a rock n roll episode on MASH or All in the Family. But there was one on the Flinstones ("The Way-Outs"). And, of course, the Brady Bunch became their own rock n roll storyline.
My favorite was probably "That 70's show" only it was called "That 70's Musical"
The music used in this episode was:
(as sung by the cast)
Sing (1973) by The Carpenters;
Happy Together (1967) by the The Turtles;
The Joker (1973) by the Steve Miller Band;
Love Hurts (1975) by Nazareth;
Shake Your Groove Thing (1978) by Peaches & Herb.
(not sung by the cast)
Blitzkrieg Bop (1976) by Ramones;
Karn Evil 9 (1973) by Emerson Lake & Palmer.
Yes. Happy Days had a few I think. Leather Tuscadaro. LOL!
Mary Tyler Moore Show had Murray singing 'Strangers in The Night'. Does that count?
M*A*S*H* had Radar do a drum set; Gary Burghoff was a
drummer.
