Can someone explain big brother?!
Question: Okay, I don't want to sound dumb but one night last week I was looking thru the movie channels trying to find a movie before I went to bed, and I came across the BB after dark. I've been watching it becuase it's interesting to me that it's happening right this second as I'm watching it and it's totally unedited. I have no freaking clue what "slop" is and they act as if they can't eat or drink food whenever they want. Can someone explain why? And why do they drink and eat out of those glass bowls?

Let me try to explain: Big Brother is a reality game show. All of these people are living in a house together, with the ultimate goal to be the last person standing at the end of the game. (This season they are playing in teams of 2, paired up with a member of the opposite sex who is supposed to be their "soul mate". )
Each week, there is a competition to see which team will be "Head of Household". This couple nominates 2 teams for eviction. At the end of the week, the other houseguests vote out one team. There is lots of strategizing and back-stabbing. And this season, there has been lots of nudity and hooking up.
"Slop" is what they have to eat if they lose a food competition. It's just something extra to keep the game interesting. They are drinking out of bowls for this week only. (it's a long story, but it's because of something that happened during a competition. They get their drinking glasses back in a few days.)

Sunshine summed it up pretty well. The BB after dark is just like you said the extra unedited footage of the BB house. Actually BB after dark is much better than watching the show. You get to find out so much more thats going on in the house that doesnt even make it to the show. This season is full of sex, more sex, did I say sex? It is very good! I would recommend that you continue to watch it.
