Was the lost series 4 opener a single or double length episode? NO SPOILERS PLEA!
Question: I was sure it said on the abc.com site that it was going to be a double length one, but when i downloaded it, i could only find single length episodes. It is on sky tonight as a single episode.

The first hour was a recap of the first 3 seasons.
The second hour was a new episode called "The Beginning of the End"

i think it was a double episode i went to abc.com this morn to watch online and they had 2 episodes ready to watch, try watching it on there instead of downloading it!!

single length episode. :) The other half that abc stated was an hour long recap. You can buy it off iTunes if you want to watch it.
They said it was a two hour event, but they've done this before: they call a "best of" episode (clips show) a new episode. TV Guide, Variety Magazine and others have been condemning this practice, but the networks (all of them) keep doing it. We can write them to complain, but that rarely works; the networks make easy money doing it.
What it really was was an hour long clip show (recap..."Previously, on Lost...), followed by the first episode (out of eight) of the new season. So it took two hours, but it only had one new episode.
