Question: What is it all about, since Season 1 i thought they were all dead and the island and other was a kind of heaven where you need to learn certain things before you are elevated to the next level, and the baddies just die or are punished for their deeds. ( like Locke's father and the couple that stole the diamonds) but now i think they get resuced? what gives?

No one is really sure where the Island is, or how these people wound up there. The producers did, however, state publicly last year that they are not dead, this is not heaven. It's obvious that there are secrets about how they got there because Ben and the Others know too much about them. And there are too many coincidences to ignore (Sawyer meeting Jack's father, Claire being Jack's sister, Hurley's lottery numbers being the ones on the hatch). Hopefully when it starts back next month they'll answer some questions instead of just asking more (like they did last year).
No one knows the answer to these questions, that's the fun of the show. You have to keep watching.
They haven't been rescued.
Season three's finale was showing flash "forwards" of Jack..and what happened to him after they were "theoretically" rescued.
But they're still stuck on the island.
I love LOST! I sometimes think the writers read all the blogs and change the direction of the story based on what we think will happen. It such a great show and there is nothing else like it on TV.
What we do know is that people can come to the Island, but no one has lefted. Well, Walt and Michael have, but we don't know where they are now.
I hated the fast-forward on the end of season 3!
I can't wait till it's back on! It worth having tivo, so I don't miss it!
i love the show lost but it seems as they just add things as they get further into the show.I think your prediction might be right and when the people die they might either go up to proper heaven because they proved themselves or just go down to hell because they just did worse. It seems like a big mystery that will never get answered because like I said it just adds on random things but I guess we will have to wait and see cause only the cast knows what will happen or they are just adding on!
Just be patient and wait a few years ( if you can keep up with all the random stuff they throw in)
Hello, Lost is a very complex show.I think the key is Desmond.If you concentrate on all the episodes with Desmond, you should be able to gather some very interesting information such as the jewelry shop episode and the conversation between the shop woman and Desmond and he bought the ring when he wasn't supposed to do that, the fact that Desmond can understand things in the past and the future,a thought that his girlfriend in the Arctic is named Penelope and like Ullysses, Desmond is on an unforgettable journey,and like "Groundhog Day," Desmond has to one day get it right-whatever the right is.We can surmise that time is not right on the island. People are never sick but do they die?
And can people live forever on the island? Jacob is caught in between time zones and needs help. Who after all is Jacob? Are the producers so clever that they leave the correct clues for the audience throughout the episodes or are we distracted from the real story with red herrings?
