Why are there no black people or gay people on Real World: Sydney? Every other s!
Question: They realized there are other minorities than blacks and went that route. Also I think they felt that they have showed us the gay room mate every season. It makes hook ups with room mates a little less possible, so they had to take it out. In my opinion Real World original was great for about the first 5 cities. Now it has turned into girls gone wild and girls gone bitchy. I think they should move to VH1 and have 24-30 year olds. It would make it a little more interesting like they used to be.

Why does a reality show have to have a token black or gay person? It's like saying that in Sydney, 1 in 5 people are gay or black! Is that a true reflection?
I realise what you said! But you were clearly questioning the programme for not including said members! I was merely defending the programme makers for not feeling they have to put then in!
If it was a random selection of people who wanted to go in, probability would suggest that in however many seasons there have been, it would be unlikely to include a black person and gay person everytime!
ivefound is an idiot..i think alot of people have questioned this seasons casting of The Real World Australia...Maybe it was purposely done to cast close minded, self centered b i a t c hes to stir up some drama for ratings but i tell ya Trisha just went overboard..Parisa, definately is the better person because i would ripped Trish a new A hole among other things. The show is dull with out having people from various cultures and lifestyles, like the African American or Gay folks...It's pretty obvious sticking a muslim in with a house full of ignorant caucasian people was going to cause some tension considering the times we are in. It's unfortunate that people look at a certain religion or group negatively like Trish does...But anyway, I say gooooo Parisa!!!! She's one tough cookie and stands her ground and that is what Trisha could not stand about her and met her match...Parisa came out on top, that's a classy woman there but for the rest of the cast theyre just dull with the exception of isaac and parisa of course, and cohutta sometimes ..lol sorry i went way beyond just answering your question..
I believe it is because this seasons cast was chosen by the viewers on line.
I said the same thing at the beginning of the season , there doesn't have to be a token black or gay, but it is called the THE REAL WORLD, and truth is the real world have all different types of people in it.
Yea, the cast was picked by online polls this season and the demographic of MTV has drastically changed over the last decade or so.....MTV used to cater to the 18-34 crowd but since VH1 their age span has been cut in half and Losing Carson Daly really didn't help cause TRL brought it all in.....so unfortunately the Real World Cast was picked by 14-25 year olds this year.....but I think Parisa as, for lack of a better word the "token" cast member is pretty good.....considering how she was picked....I'm surprised the entire cast wasn't Caucasian
Yeah, and thats why this real world sucks.. Hopefully, the person who is going to replace Trisha will be black.. Or something other than white.. Or may a really funny gay guy..
