FYI, Apologizing for being a jerk, yet continuing to do so doesn't make you any less of a jerk but I felt as though it was a big step for him.

the guys a joke. honestly I get the feeling the only reason he is with her is so that he can stay on the hills. He hasn't told his parents he wants to get married, he doesn't want a big wedding and he ignores everything she says.
