Do you think Tuesday's episode of Eastenders was too violent?!

Question: It appears Ofcom received a number of complaints from viewers.

Answers: It appears Ofcom received a number of complaints from viewers.

Not really.I think the complaints they received may have been from people in Liverpool complaining that Minty mentioned Hillsborough while talking about hooligans, and they have taken it as him blaming their supporters for Hillsborough.I dont think Eastenders meant it to be taken like that at all.

I'd say those people need to get lives... but they watch Eastenders so it's never going to happen

my ten year old daughter was actually quite scared.

Agreed! I had to distract my kids that were not already in bed!!

I won't watch it.I have seen on the news about the complaints though. When I have seen clips of it on tv, all they do is shout on there.

I would not say it was to violent however i was suprised at how far they took it when it was not entirely necessary.

i haven't watched an episode of eastenders for nearly 2 years

Yeah it was carnage! lol Loved it! Wanted phil to walk in and batter a few

it was violent but you only saw a few minor punches. just alot of noise and mess being made really. I think there will always be people who complain - its all they have time to do!!

proberly upset some parents but then if your children are sensitive they shouldnt be watching it. i thought the acting was very good

Too violent?

How many of you have children that play computer games...some of those games are far worse than what is seen on television....

....good grief!

Now you know what parts of the eastend were really like before the war started in 1939. Fortunately there were sufficient numbers of policemen out and about in those days who were not constrained by PC rules.
My grandfather was a policeman so I heard how it was handled.
The criminal who kicked my grandad's shin to avoid arrest was sentenced to 7 years hard labour.

Yes,

I'm glad raised the question, I thought it was me being a tad sqeamish.

The thought that crossed my mind what other morons are watching this and thinking..."oh, that sounds like a laugh and a good nights entertainment"

I think it was unecessary.

Erm yeah it was more violent than usaul, but i thought it was okay, i don't know why people complain

I think a lot of the content of soaps is inappropriate for children to see these days.

It was a bit but it was good.

I agree with leu (apart from the good greif bit)!!

it was great

No, i don't think eastenders is too violent. The soap deals with problems of today (eg - child abuse, domestic violence, insest) and therefore should not be watched by children under the age of 12.

All the problems that soaps like eastenders higlight happen in todays world, and if you are upset by scenes like that then i feel that you must be seeing the world through rose-tinted glasses.

I for one am glad that such issues are shown on television.

It was very OTT, but I think it was done just because lately Eastenders has got a bit slow because of the whole, Bradley/Max/Stacey love triangle

I dont think so people complaining must have nothing better to do with their time stuff like that does happen

it was quite violent for the early time it was on yes!

i think the whole idea was stupid, but the way they went in was like they were going to kill some one, but it end up with Jase gets few punches and that's it! so what was the point hey!? are they happy now!? do they did what they want? it was sh it

too violent not at all grand thief auto is more violent then eastenders but children still play that with their parents consent
