Why is nathan petrelli not the president anymore in heroes?!

Question: i've watched the season of heroes until episode 7 and then i noticed nathan wasn't the president of the U.S anymore.

Answers: i've watched the season of heroes until episode 7 and then i noticed nathan wasn't the president of the U.S anymore.

In season one he wasn't running for president, just congress.

So in the Episode "Five years gone" when it was 5 years in the future, he was the president. But it hasn't been five years yet. So technically he could still become president, but we'd have to wait 5 years to find out.

because everyone thinks that he dies when he saves NYC...

He supposedly blew up in the sky in the season 1 finale, but they might explain it in one of the next episodes called '4 months ago;

he wasn't president before in season 1 either, he just won a congressional seat (which if you play your cards right could mean a bid at the presidency).

people know he's still alive, his kids, his wife, the police.

just the fact that he thinks his brother is dead and that his mom had a part in it lead him to start drinking and generally messed him up in the head. he just plain quit being a politician.

that's what the script said..

well nathan isnt on because he was helping his brother ,you know he was going to expoled at what not well yeah he took him up in the sky and then his brother blow up but you know he gots the cheerleaders power so his brother survived and nathan died i think..the second last episosed

Nathan (Sylar) was president in the future when present day Hiro teleported himself there by accident. The future samurai Hiro went back in time and told Peter "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" . By doing that, he changed the future. They were able to stop Sylar from eventually killing Nathan and becoming president by immitating him aswell as destroying the city.

Nathan was never president. He won a congressional seat, and he was president (kind of) five years in the future, but in our timeline he was only elected to congress. He apparently gave up his seat after the incident at Kirby Plaza. They'll probably explain in more detail in one of the upcoming episodes, which is supposed to tell us what happened in the four months between the end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2.
