What can you remember from 1970's UK TV that we might have forgotten?!

Question:

What can you remember from 1970's UK TV that we might have forgotten?

I remember the "Charlie" adverts. You remember how the boy and his cat (Charlie) used to give us tips on how to stay safe! It always ended with the boy saying "and Charlie says" followed by the cat saying"miaw row riaw rioww roww"!! (sorry i'm rubbish at cat impressions).

and itsy and bitsy spider puppets No sorry then against prob about 80% of the current UK population didn't live here then lol I remember a TV show from the UK (I'm in the USA) about women in prison. It was in the 70's and very well done. My Mom & I used to watch it on Public Television every week. Darned if I can remember the name of the show. Anyone got a clue??

ADDITION: Firefoxy, you are awesome! My Mom & I have been trying to remember that show for decades now! "Within these Walls" was it! Thank you so much :-) hehe yeah I remember the Charlie adverts too.

On the same sort of theme, what about David Prowse as the Green Cross code man (before he went over to the dark side of the Force..).

And Jimmy Saville telling us to "clunk click every trip".. Womens prison may have been 'Within these walls' with Googie Withers (how can you forget a name like that :-)
