Question: Do you think the parents of the kids skipping class to see a midnight showing of the movie Twilight!.!.!.!?
!.!.!.should be ashamed of themselves!? Don't you think it is irresponsible and just plain stupid to allow 8th graders to miss school AND to stay out so late for a stupid movie!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
Answers:
I'm not sure ashamed, irresponsible and stupid are enough words to describe these parents of 8th graders!.
My 10th grader went tonight (Friday) with a group of friends for a 7:00 pm show!. They were happy to see the movie within the first 24 hours of its release!. They had fun, were safe and home before 10:00!. They were all in school today,
Sadly, the 8th graders will suffer by being taught not to take their studies seriously!. If they follow their parents lead they will put playing over responsibility!. It is sad that some parents are more interested in being cool rather than accept the privilege of parenting!.
You get what you give!.

it sounds kind of stupid and impractical, but if the kids and the parents believe they can make up what they missed in school, i guess its ok!. i do well in school and my parents r kinda strict about school; i guess its up 2 the kids on how well they rly want 2 do!. but it does seem impractical and irresponsibleWww@Enter-QA@Com
Yes and yes!.
If the parents want to allow their children to see the midnight showing, then the kids should go to school the next day!.
When Halo 3 was released I took my son to the midnight release at GameStop with the understanding that with fun comes responsibility!. So, he went to school the next day!. He's in the 8th grade and has had perfect attendance for three years!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not at all!. They're kids!. It's only one night out of how many school days that they have to endure!? It's your opinon that it is stupid, but you have to respect other people's opinons also!. I personally thought the movie was quite spectacular!. Those kids most likely had a blast and they will keep those memories for the rest of their life!. You only get to live life once!. Live it to the fullest!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Being one of the kids who went to a midnight showing!.!.!.
It was FANTASTIC, by the way!
I think it is stupid that I was allowed to, but boy I am happy!
I didn't have school today, teacher inservice, so I didn't have to worry about missing class!.
Staying out so late!? Pshh! It was totally worth it!.
:D
Vote up if you went to the movie and LOVED <3 it!

Yes!. I mean, all they had to do was wait 12 more hours!. Is it that crucial to see a freaking movie during the first showing!?!?!? I would understand if it was like a once in a lifetime show, not a movie that will be playing for the next 2 months!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
absolutely not!. so what if they miss a day of school to see a movie they've really been looking forward to!. part of childhood is having fun, obviously something you aren't familiar with!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Honestly!? If my kids had good grades and it really meant a lot to them, yes, I would let them go!. It's only once!. Let them have a memory they will have forever about how much fun it was instead of the memory of me being a ***** of a mom!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
What about the people who put an obvious teen movie on at midnight on a school night!? They did it for money!. The parents did it only to keep peace!. But it is a bad precedent!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
yes and yes!. but those parents may not know they're kids skipped!. i mean kids do break rules and sneak out!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think that's hella tight! Who cares about school when you can see TWILIGHT!!!!!!!
Way better than school, but then again- what ISN'T better than school!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
