Pound for pound, are horse jockeys among the greatest athletes in the world?!
Question: Pound for pound, are horse jockeys among the greatest athletes in the world!?
It sounded odd to me at first, but makes sense: they gotta be very light but also very strong!. So they really can't afford to have much excess body weight!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Answers:
jockeys are absolutely awesome for their size and weight, controlling and holding the strength of a flat out horse just think about it
also they have to starve and sweat weight off continually which puts them in a weakened state
a really dangerous profession they deserve all the rewards they get absolutely awesome
what animal cruelty!?!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

i think these people should stop whining about horse racing
they get treated well and the horses arent abused they are fed, kept warm in stables UNLIKE other horses who have to look for food AND are left alone in the wild, these horses are groomed and cleaned and are treated like family members
and jockeys are pretty god atheletes but im sure if you looked in the paralympics you could find someone light weight but stong, like some of the disabled bikeriders their bottom half weighs nothing really but they are super muscular in their arms and chestWww@Enter-QA@Com

They don't really do much except ride the horse!. I rode horses for years and it is a challenge sometimes, but as far as being physically strong or athletic, you don't need much of either!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
No, not in the least!. The horse is the athlete in the race!. Regardless how light the jockey is, i'm not a fan, but I would think a pound or two won't lose a race!. And if one, not many consistent races!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yeah, I think so!. All people see is the actualy race on TV, they don't see that actually racing is only half of it!. The real race is the jockeys keeping in shape until the race!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
They sit on a horse!. Yeah that really sounds hard!. Strong to do what!? Whip the horse!? No, they're not great athletes; they're overpaid midgets!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
