What do you think when you see a homeless person?!
Question: We were talking to a Homeless young Man last Weekend that was begging on the Street in Town.we had just paid for a new Fridge/Freezer and I felt guilty
We asked him he was REALLY Homeless?
His Reply was "YES I AM SIR AND MADAM"
I Looked at my Wife and said that there is no need for anyone to be Homeless in this day and age
So I said Jump up,Took him to get food and drinks
Then went to our Local Church with him ..
The Priest is a great man and we know him many years
He looked after my Wife Whilst i was away on Operational Duties(ARMY)
He got him an Apartment within 20 minutes
and only Yesterday there was an envolope in our letter box with 20 Euros inside with a note that read
Thankyou for your help
Needless to say we took the same envolope back to his new home
but just added on the bottom of it
No need to say thankyou
True Story, and i think you know i am not the sort of user that writes a book for an answer
Have a nice weekend

divert eyes + ignore
are they really homeless or one of those fake homeless people
how lucky i am
I feel sorrow...and I think that this is a world of despair we are all living in and I should feel lucky about the things that I have..!
You never know if their genuine these days? but my heart does go out to the genuine one's...
How did they get that way?
sad
It could be me. "I was hungry and you fed me".
I have helped many homeless people find accommodation but many of them like being homeless. I know of one man who actually lives in a water pipe and uses a grid reference as his address. People become homeless for lots of different reasons I would never judge them.
acually i never seen one, but probably dispair
someone who is down on their luck
It makes me appreciate even more the life that i have. I always put money in their little cups, because i want to.
Makes me think of how circumstance can affect people. What if things had gone a little differently for them....or for me?
was it their unlucky fate to be in that situation or did they really slack off somewhere to be like that
i also think **keep studying self!!** "muuuust geett goood graaaaaaaaades!**
How did they end up that way? Did they lose their family? Are they on drugs? What unfortunate event led them to this type of lifestyle?
how sad
How long before they ask me if I can spare any change, again!
I think im so lucky to have a roof over my head, shower regulary eat when I want. I wonder how did it happen for them to be homeless, where is their family? Its a shame but some are fake tho
I feel terrible. I feel so bad that they don't have something I have. A home.
If I can see that the person is homeless, and not some junkie trying to con people out of money, then I do tend to feel sorry for them.
I'm lucky to have a roof over my head.
Sadness. I ask myself "what can I give to this person?" if I truly think they are incapable of living off the streets. Usually they are alcoholics or mentally disabled. One in four of homeless people are veterans! That makes me sad and angry. I also read a study that panhandlers can average $300 a day! So I try to use my best judgement.
wish I could help. Was made homeless when I was 16yrs, it can happen so easily to anyone.
How sad.
I'm of 2 thoughts...I wonder first, "there but for fortune go I..."
and then I wonder how well they're doing at it.
could be a good gig for some.
Poor bastard. I help if I can
I feel really sorry for them because no one knows how they ended up that way. I was homeless for about 3 weeks when i was 18 but i didnt beg or anything. Its really hard and lonely and people judge you. They asume you must be a druggie or something when the truth of it was i was escaping a violent home life. Fate is served in many different ways and who are we to judge. xxx
In this country, self inflected and let them get on with it, sorry no excuse
I think "there but for the grace"
I wonder how they got to be like that, homeless I mean.
