When you were a child, did you ever huddle over the heat register on cold winter!
Question: Or am I the only one?
Answers: Or am I the only one?
I used to be a cellar dweller, and my bathroom/laundry room had no heat. So before I bathed everyday, I would throw my towel in the dryer and run it for a good 1/2 hr before my shower. The dryer vent didn't go outside, it vented right into the room, so I'd huddle over that. I also used my hair dryer to warm myself up. What's a heat register?
Johnny is this a serious question? Or is it a secret plot of perversion.
I wasn't aware one had to be a child to do that! I used to when I was smaller, huddle over the heat vent and cover myself and it with a blanket. Drove my mother insane because the heat kept coming on, because the room didn't get warmed up hardly at all!
*I still sit on the recliner and cover it and my legs with a blanket sometimes. Shooot. It's 23 outside and only 64 in here!
Child, hell! I still do it. Gotta warm the buns somehow.
I still do.
Cold bathroom + warm body = hell in transition to the shower.
I have to stand over the vent to work up the nerve to take my clothes off.
When I was a child our primary heat source was a fireplace. I recall most mornings during cold weather I went to school smelling like Hickory Pit BBQ. I never fully understood why Mrs. Taylor would give me such a warm hug every morning at school. I felt that she must've liked me more than the other kids but now I know she was just getting her "pulled pork fix."
Yep still do if the ol man isn't around to warm me up....
Yes. I remember being younger, when it was just Mom and me, and she kept the thermostat very low to try to save money. I would get out of the bath or shower for school, and go straight to the register in the towel for a few before dressing.
i would usually snuggle up to a bonfire.
We had a kerosens heater, I huddled over that with a blanket. It took 6 months of skin grafts to reshape my toes.
Ahhh memories.....
