It has quietened down since the first days of the sales. It will probably be quite pleasant to shop tonight - as long as you wrap up warm!!
I was there 3 days ago and the place was heaving!!

packed with shoppers beggars thieves and general sh1te of society same as every day.. And yes I have lived here for 31 yrs and feel i am in a position to hate the fvcking place or hate what it has become if i want too.

why would you honestly want to go to oxford street anyway? its being overtaken by rubbish shops - id personally stick to covent garden and regent street if you're determined to shop in the west end.
I went on new years day & it wasen't as bad as I expected but they do have those rails out which attracts the usual pushy & shovey people. Overall i've seen worse.
That place is always packed with shoppers..doesn't matter when you go.
Fridays are very busy because it's late opening hours.
Avoid if you can
no it should have calmed down but london is always hectic i never go shopping there well rarely,everyone is in a rush to get no where!!!
