Do your research first and we don't wear stripy dresses, they are called kilts and the stripes as you call them are various Tartan.

Well my late parents loved Edinburgh and went every yr and it wasn't just for the Tattoo. My mum bought me a lovely Horse shoe from Gretna Green, which hangs above my front door.
Oh dear - just read your Glasgow question and you've been sadly misled, mate - you really couldn't have been more insulting if you tried (I'm assuming here you weren't trying). And now you've managed to hack off someone else, I assume - although I've yet to work out who sings to sheep in stripey dresses.....may I suggest a little research is in order before attempting local slang? And we don't really have rednecks over here, at least only on one day in August generally.....
