Answers:
I don't know if you have a single or multi-voice pedal,
but the best answer is!.!.!. practice, Practice, PRACTICE!.
I would suggest using a light touch at first!.
Don't have the pedal all the way up and instantly dive into a
sonic mudpit!. Try repeating a riff as you make slow, and
shallow pedal deflections!. Using (perhaps) 3/4 to 1/3 of the
pedals' full range!. This will make it easier to find sounds you'll
like best!. And provide a more interesting effect!.
also try slow deflections over a fast riff, or the other way around;
fast deflections/slow riff!.
There is no reason to keep the pedal moving like valve-rockers
in a Ferrari!. Experiment with a short period of no movement
between deflections!. "up, pause, down, pause," and so on!.
The effect you're refering to uses more than a wah by itself
(digital delay etc!.) I hope these tips are helpfull!.

There is a wah-wah in that part, BUT you also need a phaser pedal too!. The coolest thing to do with a wah pedal is to bend a note up while closing the pedal!. also muted strings are sweet with a wah!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you have a MySpace you can e-mail John Frusciante!. It might take him a while, but you can ask him, I guess!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think practice definitely does sum up what you should do!.!.!.also, use a Vox wah--it's the best brand for wah that there is!Www@Enter-QA@Com
