I LOVE John to death,
But it think it sounds almost dark, something about the way he performs it makes me a little bit depressed after hearing it!.
The hard days he was having at the time completely comes through the song!.
You never know with John though, maybe that's what he was trying to express!.

It's good!. I also love Lennon's version of "Ain't That a Shame" (also from the Rock 'n' Roll album)!.
