The SG your gonna get is a great guitar, it has EMGs! As for amp its very hard to get a PRO sound below $500!. Unless your using a modeling amp or pedal!.Mabey this http://guitars!.musiciansfriend!.com/produ!.!.!. (listen to the sound samples) If you plan on playing without just headphones u'll also need a amp(same ones are around $80http://guitars!.musiciansfriend!.com/navig!.!.!.
