Answers:
No, there are no age limits that I know of!. It's based on talent, skill and connections!. Practice and know your music and your repertoire and make as many auditions as you can because its a tough market out there now!

Good luck!.

Orchestras are ranked according to their budgets!. Getting into a top orchestra is near impossible, but that being said, there are lots of orchestras to play in!.

But you can do it if you love musicology; make sure to go to the best school you can get into!.

You're talking about professional orchestras right!?

As far as I know, I don't think there are any!. Orchestras are looking for talent, not how young/old you are!. I have a friend who was in a small professional orchestra in his first year of college and I've seen people with wrinkles and grey hair!.

You probably have to be 18 because of laws but other than that I think you can play until you want to retire!.

Good luck!! =DWww@Enter-QA@Com

Our youth orchestras in my town take kids from grade 12 down!. So there might be an age requirement of 18 for the regular orchestra!. Child labor laws may also apply!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

It depends on a lot of things such as

Skill level
Age
Director
Etc!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
