How to write a song?!
Question: How to write a song!?
How do you start writing a song!? Should I start with the lyrics or the music!? Help :P!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
Answers:
Don't beleive that you have to start with one or the other!. I've been writing songs for 12 years, and after all this time, I still don't have a set method!. Sometimes I'll write lyrics first, and other times, I'll write a song without words, and then a few months later, the words will just come to me!. Write whatever you feel inspired to write, instead of trying to force yourself to follow a set of rules!. Your song will sound stiff and lifeless if you do that!. Instead, think of songwriting as a new piece of silly putty: yours to bend and mold into anything you want!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
it kinda all depends on what you want the outcome to be!.
It can be easier writing the words first, because then you kind find out the rhythm through the words, and that might suggest a tune!. If you write the tune first, you might be struggling to find the right words, or set the words to the rhythm!. The best is when they come together, because words have sounds themselves, and will suggest tunes!. And when the words and tune grow together, they compliment each other and work very well!. it depends on how you personally feel it should be made, and done pressure yourself to nut it out in one go!. I've created a tune, but over time I've found out the tune has changed - it's changed into something more memorable, more logical!. And over time, words might start to appear in your head, when, if you create the music first, you understand the mood!. I wrote a piece, very celtic, and after several months I realised it was like a funeral song, about a lost king, and everybody keeping hope!. It matched perfectly!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

When I write a song, I start with the lyrics!. Because the emotion of the words will inspire the music!. Sometimes I write the melody at the same time so I don't forget it!. Then I add in the bass and others later!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
