Question: Information about voice lessons, please help!!!!?
i love to sing, and would love to take voice lessons to improve my singing and learn about pitch, sight reading voice music, etc!. but what happens in a typical first voice lesson!? i've never taken voice lessons, so i'd be kind of nervous!. do i need to have a particular style of music in mind that i want to sing!? on the first day, are you supposed to come prepared with a song for the teacher to hear what your voice sounds like!? any information you can give me would be GREAT! thank you!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Nothing to be afraid of! Most voice teachers will start you off by warming your voice up and vocalizing!. They would probably also want to hear something you like to sing!.

As with learning any musical instrument alot depends on the teacher!. Most teachers will allow you to come by once, talk with them, may-be ask you to sing - this allows both of you to find out if you will work well together!. Your teacher will work with you to pick out books and music that will fit your voice, and you can purchase these later!. The only thing you might want to consider is style and what you want to get out of it!. Try a few teachers before you choose!Www@Enter-QA@Com
On my first singing lesson she found a song I knew well and I sang!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
She then worked out what I needed to do to improve!.
In singing lessons you can choose what type of song you want to sing I love musicals so I sing song from musicals!.
If your from England you also can do grades but for the first month you sing songs you know and like =D

different warm ups
types of songs that are suited for my voice
In one voice lesson we always do:
One italian song ( eg!. Caro mio ben, seben rudele)
One Musical theater song ( eg!. Stars, Empty chairs)
One classical song ( eg!. Romance)
And then i pick whatever i want =D
There were probably some other things i forgot =(
