I think people hate them because they are so succesful!. also, I think people get mad because a band they don't like so much got really big and their little favorite band hasn't!.

well i used to be a big MCR fan, but they are sell outs now!. they represent everything true music is not about, you can just see that from the way the guys look and especially their music!.!.!.

Okay!.!.!.here's my opinion!. I may come across as a bit condescending but that's not my intention!.
I'm sure many of those people who say that they hate MCR have never even heard any of their music!. In the haters' eyes just because they're popular with teenagers, they automatically suck!. I think this is where the fans are letting the band down!. If the obsessed little tweenage girls would stop going on about how Gerard Way is the love of their life and that MCR are the best band to ever grace this planet, I'm sure everyone else wouldn't give a sh*t!.
I happen to think MCR are alright!. They're nowhere near my favourite band, but they are on my iPod and I like to listen to them every now and then!. They're not the most amazing band ever, but I've certainly heard worse!.
So really, I reckon half the hating is down (indirectly, of course) to the fans!. I think this is probably the case with Fall Out Boy, Panic At The Disco, and The Jonas Brothers too!.
Just a little note - I couldn't believe that MCR were number 1 on Kerrang's Best Ever Rock Bands!. They're quite good, but they're not *that* good, and to be perfectly honest, I don't think they've made enough of an impact on the musical world to be placed at number 1!. I wouldn't have even put Elliot Minor at number 1 (and they are my very favourite band), because they haven't been around long enough to have the title of Best Ever Rock Band!.

To me it just represents how sad and empty the music industry has gotten!. Talentless, fake bands like MCR are topping the charts while bands like Kings of Leon are thrown in as an afterthought!. Plus their audience of teens are so open and exploratory in music, it's shameful just to feed them that overproduced sh!t!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That statement alone leads me to believe that you have not ever heard any rock music besides what is played on the radio, on the Top 100 Mix stations!.
I dislike them because they are sellouts!. They write(doubt it)and play music for money and record sales!. As long as they will continue to get lots of money from their music and lots of play time on the radio they will keep going!. That is the wrong reason to play music!. Their music is catchy and very broad so that everyone will like it!.
There are bands out there that spent their whole lives, risked their lives and pored all of their emotions into their songs!. Some bands wrote songs to get people through tough times, to express some hate or to show love!. MCR does none of this, and its sad!.
Open your mind to real music and get away from the over played radio record sale craving bands!. There is allot more music out there, like more than you can ever imagine!.
Think about why you like them, is that the right reason!?
