Question: Have you ever heard or played "Tarantella" by F!. Chopin!? Please send in your comments!?
This called my attention, as it is a typical Italian genre, and not Romantic at all!.!.However, Chopin has other works equally amazing, like one based on the italian melody "Carnival in Venice"!.!.!.

Would you want to comment or add !? Thank youWww@Enter-QA@Com

"Tarantella" by F!. Chopin is a very nice piece!.!.However, , it doesn't sound like Chopin 100 percent to me!.!.

When I first played it gave me a bit of a hard time, as I was out of practice and those octaves wore me out !.However, upon intense practice everything turned ok and I just love it!.!.!.I wonder why isn't it more popular as other Chopin's works!?!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

This wasn't exactly your question, but are you interested in collecting obscure compositions by Chopin!?
Here is a list of nuggets which I copied from the last volume of the Paderewski edition:

For page name, enter:
albumleaf
noctcm1, noctcm2, noctcm3
(This one might not be so obscure!. It's not in the Schirmer collection of nocturnes, but I have heard it elsewhere!.)
cantabile
cm1, cm2, cm3
(My favorite of all the nocturnes!. Sounds like an exotic folk song!.)
contra1, contra2, contra3, contra4
fugue1, fugue2, fugue3, fugue4
(As a baroque composer, Chopin was a great Romantic composer!.)
largo
var1, var2
(on "Suoni la tromba" from "I Puritani")
march1, march2, march3
(I call this "Chopin's lesser-known funeral march")

I either didn't see the tarantella or thought it would be too hard for me!.

There is also a collection by Alfred Publishing Co!. which contains at least one obscure compostion which I missed!.

I heard that when Chopin was lying on his deathbed, he asked a publisher to gather up all his unpublished compositions and burn them!.
And you know what the publisher did!?
He gathered up all his unpublished compositions and published them!
And I'm glad he did!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
