Wendy O Williams? Stevie Lange?

yeah, I bet it's Bonnie Tyler you're thinking of...the song is "It's a Heartache" from the late 70s.

Bonnie Tyler - Total eclipse of the heart
Carly Simon - Your so vain
Janis Joplin - big yellow taxi but she died in 1972.

Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes

Elkie Brookes? Pearls a singer was the song she is famous for

Janis Joplin was a great singer, but she died in 1970, so i would hardly consider here to be a woman of 70's rock.

R.I.P. Janis!
