Question: Yea, I didn't like The Cool as much as other people. Are we listening to the same album, because i can't see how people think it is a classic. Are you people just overrating it because there aren't many good albums coming out right now, and you're saying that this is the best you will get(unless you listen to less popular stuff, which can be as good as Lupe or better), or am I just too dumb to understand how unbelievable the album is?

i agree when you say "you people just overrating it because there aren't many good albums coming out right now", but lyrically it was great album not to mention the fresh subject matter. it just may not be your forte.

Graduation wasn't worth all the hype it received. The Cool was worth it.
The Cool went over a lot of people's heads. If you keep listening to it you might like it more... but then again you might not. Some of the concepts are really deep and abstract... If you get a hold of them then maybe you'll like it more.
It helps if your familiar with the song- the Cool from his first album.
It also helps if you know the other characters: The Game and The Streets.

What Hype !!! just cuz you see it on yahoo answers doesnt mean his songs are on tv 24/7. soulja boy is getting more publicity than him. lupes got 5% 'hype' right now in the media. he deserves more, and i think you need to read more into what hes saying.like ppl say, some of his lyrics just gos over your head.
