Amy Winehouse - her songs generally use horns...
Hmmm... can't really think of anything modern... why don't you go back to the 80's? Check out Tower of Power and Earth, Wind and Fire. Two brilliant bands. What about Stevie Wonder and Kool and the Gang? Do you like that kinda stuff?
I'd class it as funk music.
