Gutar strings making fingers Black?!
Question: I just got a guitar for christmas and when i play it if i rub my finger up and down the strings i get a black line on my finger where the string was, my friends guitar doesn't do this. whats up?

Don't "fret", that Black stuff is a protective coating put on the strings during the manufacturing process to eliminate corrosion.
Wipe with a towel a dozen times and it's all gone.
change the strings they're crappy and getting old sounds like. My buddies did that cuz his strings were old.
it′s just because they′re new.. later on it wont.
mine used to do that when they were new but now they dont anymore.
