nothing's gonna stop us now by starship. it was featured on the movie mannequin. of all the songs that i could remember during my childhood, this one always come up. and i also kinda like the lyrics (i know, it's a bit cheesy) but i really find it good

patience - guns and roses

Falco Rock Me Amadeus
New Order Bizarre Love Triangle
Bangles Video Killed the Radio Star
A-Ha's Take on Me
Depeche Mode Enjoy the Silence
The Cure Love Song
Genesis Land of Confusion
Kim Carnes Bette Davis Eyes

'No Matter What Happens' by Barbra Streisand. I love that song--and all the other songs from Yentl--even though she is a commie douche.

But the Bangles didn't do 'Video Killed the Radio Star'...the Buggles did.

Anything from Iggy Pop's "New Values"
Light years ahead of its time!

how soon is now - the smiths
pictures of you - the cure
i'll be there for you - bon jovi
darlin nikki - prince
never tear us apart - inxs
so alive - love and rockets
smooth operator - sade
i still haven't found what i'm looking for - u2

1. Smiles And Jokes - White China
2. Unguarded Moment - The Church
3. Rescue Me - The Alarm
4. American Soviet - CCCP
5. The More You Live The More You Love - A Flock Of Seagulls
6. Bringing Home The Ashes - Wild Swans
7. Years Later - Cactus World News
8. Love Missile F1-11 - Sigue Sigue Sputnik
9. Cars - Gary Numan
10. You Might Think - The Cars

first off We Built This City is by Starship and not Jefferson Starship. The group was known as Jefferson Airplane in the 60's, Jefferson Starship in the 70's and 80's and became Starship in the 80's when original guitarist Paul Kantner left the group and took the Jefferson name with him.

my fav songs of the 80's:
Everybody Wants To Rule The World-Tears For Fears
Working For The Weekend-Loverboy
Who Can It Be Now-Men At Work
Burning Down The House-Talking Heads
Love Shack- B-52's
Runaway-Bon Jovi
Relax-Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Cars-Gary Numan
