The early contenders for best band of 08?!
Question: i guess it would be a real early prediction, i say wolfmother, assuming thier albums comming out this year, great band, but who would u say is gonna end up being be best band of 2008

welll IF wolfmother finally do release their next album ever, that is the year they will take best band of that year but thats when they do, they need to tease us more and let up feel more informed about their album :D
but if it comes to it and they don't release the album this year, definately its got to be foo fighters or the monkeys :D
so to sum up if you haven't read this, wolfmother to win when they actually do release their album, if that fails to be released this year, then arctic monkeys or foo fighters :D

Wolfmother is good but arent big enough for that honor. It wouls be hard for Foo Fighters as their 2 great songs from the recent album were used as 07 singles. R.E.M. has a good chance, their newest, "Supernatural Superserious" is an amazing tune. 3 Doors Down has a new album upcoming and so does Rise Against who recently broke through with their album "The Sufferer And The Witness." Panic At The Disco has a chance with their new album, "Pretty. Odd." Trapt could make a comeback with a new album in 08. Many bands have the chance.
Panic at the Disco definitely (their new song, Nine In The Afternoon, is AWESOME).
Paramore has completely taken off to a "From Under The Cork Tree-Fall Out Boy) proportions, but they'll probably get bigger.
The Spill Canvas and Evans Blue are both gonna take off I'm pretty sure, they're amazing bands.
yea i'll definetly have to agree with cody on his answer except for the panic at the disco part, but heres mine...
there are lots of bands that i'd sudgest as best band of 08, but you wouldn't know any of them cause they're all indie lol. cause really, most of mainstream music just blows. the charts are dominated by rappers and people who know only 2 chords and think their in a rock band "cough cough panic at the disco cough cough"... and posers like avril lavigne...pfffttt she thinks she's punk!!! what a joke! and there are some bands that i wonder how they got a record deal, like paramore, the academy is..., fall out boy, etc. maybe they just slept with the record executives or something. my point is, anything thats on the charts except rhcp, foo fighters, wolfmother, and maybe 2 or 3 more bands, are definetly not band of 08.
