Worse than a fairytale?!
Question: i really want this album, but itunes says it's explicit, and i'm not allowed to buy explicit ones unless i ask, and my mom will want to know why it's explicit, so why? is it just because the album is about murders?

i love drop dead gorgeous... i have the album i only recall that "the pleasure to end all pleasures" has the word B*tch
a few times and "worse than a fairy tale" has the word Wh*re once and F**K at the end one time and "SSaylor Lake" has the word F**k a few times... but its not that bad... i dont think it should have parental advisory but then there is talk about murder and stuff... compared to SENSES Fail the depth of dreams cd got parental advisory because of the subject matter of being emo and killing people with chainsaws...but no cussing... both are great albums... and tell your mom that you watch movies and they cuss more than a cd...
since its screamo you cannot tell what they are saying half the time unless you look at lyrics...
Yes -- it could be the subject matter (murders, as you said) and also the content (cussing in the lyrics).
I think it would be pretty tough to explain this one to your mom. There have been a lot of albums I've seen labeled as Explicit in the past...and I can either cut out a few songs to make it all clean, or explain it away. If you check out the lyrics to all of the songs you'll see a lot of talk about murder, suicide, satan, and dark rituals...as well as cursing. There's really not a clean song on the whole CD. Sorry, but it looks like there's no way around this one. Hope this helps though.
