How do I write a bridge for a song?!


Question: I play alternative/grunge. If there are any other little parts of song like bridges, breakdowns, prechorus, etc. could tell me what they are and how to write them.

try playing a different chord pattern, playing your chord pattern to a different rhythm, or play a chord pattern in a different key.

for instance, you could try playing a pattern starting on the 4th. For instance, if your song is in the key of C, then playing a section in the IV, F, or even the V, G, might make for a good bridge section.

bridges and breakdown are almost the same thing.........basically what you wanna do is..... change the beat and chord patterns of the song......lyrics wise.....the bridge should be about the same topic as the song but different story or a different point of view....... basically u wanna give the listeners a break and hear somthing different so they dont get bored of hearing the same repetitve thing.
