Yes. But you need to find good bands on your own. And if you can't find good bands while doing that you're not looking. The hidden treasures are kept secret from most and only a few find them. You won't find that many good bands unless you go out there and do some work and search instead of waiting for it to be thrown at you.

I agree with the guy above me, All my favourate bands I have found by accident. It just happens. We cant tell you bands you will like, you will just hear them and like them.
dragonforce isnt new...but they started to get super popular last year...
browse i mixes on itunes!! trust me you'll find so many good songs like that! =)
cancer bats are new and good and a day to remember just came out with #2 and they are amazing so there ya go two good ones

I don't know how knew these bands are but I really like murder mystery, the less, the status, and the morning light. I know murder mystery is giving away two free songs on there website if you want to try them out
I don't know what kind of music you like, but right now I'm really loving As Tall As Lions, Daphne Loves Derby, Wolf Parade, Minus The Bear, The Apples In Stereo, Meg & Dia, and The Bravery.
I'm not sure what you're into, but if you're looking to get in on the ground floor there is a local group that is going to release on hell of a record. They're really good.

Kind of a trick question , innit? I mean, there really isn't ANY new good bands , and no good new bands either. All new bands pretty much blow.
If you're into the rock/rap bands (linkin park, limp bizkit), try out a band called Indica. It has a reggae sound, too. It's a newly formed local band.
Their songs on their site aren't mixed, but they sound great live. In a few weeks they'll have new stuff up.
