I haven't been to the HOB in Chicago, but I have been to HOB's in Myrtle Beach and Orlando. The HOB is a great place to see a concert -- not a bad "seat" in the house. They have a "pass the line" program if you eat there or buy something in the gift shop -- it gets you in a line that enters before the general admission. Be sure to call & ask for details.
If you get there early enough, there is some table seating. Also eating at the restaurant gets you in first.
