BUT have you ever LISTENED to the lyrics not JUST HEARD THEM?
EVERYONE can interperate what he said...but the lyrics are very clear..IF is what he says...and the sample used it to make you hear what it would sound like IF hip hop was dead....

I feel personally we take hip hop for granted, artists with less lyrical content are getting the promotions once given to real talented lyrical artists like NAS. "My face once graced promotional Sony trucks" ...NAS who is given credit by MANY artists carreers no longer gets those big promos aint that somethin??

Neither... I refuse to listen till he gets a good beat.
I love rap. All different types, club songs, chill songs, anthems, everything. Some of the stuff isn't good lyrically, but I still listen to it (except for all Atlanta artist's except Lil' Scrappy and TI) but when I hear something like what Nas spit, I love to listen even more.
I barely feel it's worth the effort to answer a question about it, much less "listen to" or "hear" any rap. God Bless you.

I think that it's not that Hip Hop is dead.....it's just bad influenced....my America......America right now is like the bad child....a rotten one.....you know what got it all fkd up..??? The Parents...that's rite.....all you hear about america is pop queens coked out......the main leader of the country lacks intelligence....so a Drunken and Stoned america only wants to hear about partying like a rockstar....We Need Better Standards....its up to you though to look for progressive hip hop.........for all the people that badmouths hip hop....Hip Hop has good music and good lyrics they're just hard to find......Tupac couldnt say it best......YOU DON'T HAVE BUMP THIS, BUT PLEASE RESPECT IT....!!!!!!!
Please give respect to true Hip Hop Artist that care about the culture......KRS One, Nas, Rakim, Tupac, Dead Prez....etc...
