Mixed images. Usually war. Or basically the band's logo or band itself.

It really depends on the song I guess, sometimes nothing comes up but other times it's very vivid images. Like In Porcupine Tree's Heart-attack in a Layby, I just seem rushing rain, a river and cold air... I guess I image what image is painted during the song. It's the relative location of where the song should be taking place I guess.
And if it's something psychedelic like While Rabbit and In A Gadda Da Vida, just random colors... wooo, kaleidoscope like :0 )
I image things that have happened to me, kinda like flashbacks this is bad sometimes because I don't like to remember my ex. But songs like She Loves Me Not or Forever by Papa Roach remind me of her. I like to listen to Dance Floor Anthem by Good Charlotte, or Wasted Time by Fuel to activate my flashbacks. It helps me get away from the real world and relax.
Unfortunately it's not a band, but a form of goa, trippy music that each note and sound has a certain shape that takes form in your mind. Your mind feels free and experiencing a world that you couldn't possibly imagine. I'm talking about 'Shpongle', the album being 'Are You Shpongled?'
Sigur Ros does the same, you don't understand the lyrics because they are in Icelandic but you feel the music.
I usually picture my own music video to every song.
Usually the story that the song is trying to convey with its lyrics, emotions and musical elements. I just imagine them as they unfold. It works for me.
