Because you asked in the COUNTRY MUSIC section, I'll give you a proper answer... not like those above me.
IMHO, One of the best Country albums is "Tribute to Bob Wills" by Asleep at the Wheel. Songs that were written by Bob Wills that most folks either don't know he wrote or performed.
The second in line would be "Will the Circle be Unbroken" by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.... the group brought together several older performers to play with them on certain songs. Older songs, some of the best musicians, and songs you won't hear anywhere else.
Depends on my mood but today I'll say The Clash - London Calling.
Reasons? Guns of Brixton, Train In Vain, Lost In The Supermarket, London Calling, Spanish Bombs & Clampdown.
Exodus - Bob Marley
A lot of the album was recorded whilst Marley was recuperating in London after his assasination attempt.
The Album just excels musically and lyrically, has to be the best album of the 20th Century at least.
