You need representation and legal help. Get your affairs straight. I hope the opportunity is real and that you do well. I have been in this business since I was a child and I am currently an A&R for a major label, and although the movies tell ya different, those chances come very very VERY rarely and are usually totally bogus stories, but good luck!

Get a lawyer that specializing in entertainment and contracts.
Do not use theirs.
If they scoff at that or say if you get a lawyer we can't use you, then you know it was not legit.
The music business is filled with mostly if not all lowlifes and liars, crooks, druggies and every other negative thing humanity can bring out in people.
