Whose The Singer Of This Classic Country Song?!

Question: Manduhh asked a question earlier. She wanted some song ideas for a mix tape/cd for her mom. A bunch of country songs about mothers, and the hard work they do, etc. I gave her about five that I could think of right off the top of my head, but one of them, for the life of me, I couldn't remember who sang it. I know I'm probably gonna remember it as soon as I press send on this question, but who was the singer of this classic country song: Mom And Dad's Waltz. And just to show what a friendly community country music category is, if you all wouldn't mind going over to Manduhh's question (i believe it was a mix cd for my mom, or something simular to that), and helping her out, I'm sure she'll appreciate it. Thanks again everyone. Take care, and good luck.

Yes the song is Mom & Dad's Waltz that was written and recorded by the great Lefty Frizzell. I was just listening to it last night. Did you know he gave all royalty income from that song to his parents? My Grandad worked with Lefty's dad in the oilfields in and around Loco Hills, New Mexico.

Lefty Frizzell

I only know of Lefty Frizzell and Faron Young!!!

I went over there but it looks like you guys covered her question rather well. As far as this song, I think Merle Haggard also covered it

the great LEFTY FRIZZELL!

just want to know, is that the one that goes "I'd walk for miles, cry or smile, for my mama and daddy"? I love that song, i havent heard it since my dad dedicated it to my grandparents on their 40th wedding anniversary

It is indeed Lefty Frizzel
